Bydeezine

Bydeezine is a recently formed Scottish company dedicated to bringing the very best in Christian humour to the global marketplace.

The underpinning philosophy of bydeezine is summed up in our mission statement, “Putting a smile on your faith!” because that’s exactly what we seek to do. We want to help bring a present day fulfilment to the Bible verse that says “He will fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with joy.” (Job 8:29)

Scottish writer Eric Linklater once had written on a school report, “He is doing fairly well, but is handicapped by a sense of humour.”
Sadly that is so often how humour is looked upon in church life – a bit of a handicap! Yet humour can break down barriers to unbelief and be used as an opening to understanding deeper and more serious issues of faith.

Here at bydeezine we know that humour can never replace the work of God in our hearts through His word – but it can bring some lightness to our lives as we recognize that at times we can quite legitimately have a little fun with our faith.

We believe that the key to a balanced Christian life is to know what to take seriously and what to have fun with – but not to confuse the two!

It is never our intention to cause or give offence in matters of the Christian faith, but as humour tends to be a “personal thing”, we would ask your forbearance, and indeed your Christian forgiveness, if our products are not to your taste. However, for those of you who do see the funny side of faith we hope they bring you happiness and make you laugh. But more, we trust you can share this with other people and not only “fill their mouths with laughter” but also fill their hearts with Jesus Christ who is Lord over all – fun and laughter not excluded!

Founder and managing director of Bydeezine, Robert Breustedt has many years of experience in Christian ministry and in the gift and retail trade. His experience in both has been the driving catalyst in the formation of the company.
